Charlotte at Texas Christian 12:30 AM ET
TCU looks to climb back into the national rankings with a strong showing at the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu, starting with Saturday’s first-round matchup against Charlotte. The Horned Frogs have won five in a row following a nine-point loss to Lipscomb, while Charlotte snapped a three-game losing streak with last Tuesday’s 55-49 win over East Carolina.
Coppin St. at Houston 4:00 PM ET
Houston will try to continue to roll through its non-conference schedule when the undefeated Cougars host winless Coppin State on Sunday. The 20th-ranked Cougars turned to their defense to win a third straight hard-fought game in Houston, extending their home win streak to 24 on Thursday.
Colorado at Hawaii 7:00 PM ET
After opening the Diamond Head Classic with Saturday’s stunning loss to Indiana State, Colorado looks to bounce back Sunday in the consolation semifinal against Hawaii in Honolulu. The Buffaloes entered the tournament on a six-game winning streak but trailed by as many as 14 in the second half against the Sycamores, who recorded their first win over a current Pac-12 member since 1946.
Washington St. at New Mexico St. 10:00 PM ET
Washington State headed to Las Vegas this weekend hoping to win a regular season tournament for the second straight year after taking the Wooden Legacy Challenge last season in Fullerton, Calif. But after falling to San Diego in the semifinals of the Las Vegas Classic at the Orleans Arena on Saturday night, the Cougars will have to settle for trying to garner a little bit of revenge when they face New Mexico State in Sunday night's consolation final.
Bucknell at Texas Christian 10:00 PM ET
After turning in a dominant effort on the first day of the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu, TCU aims for its seventh straight victory in Sunday’s semifinal against Bucknell from the Patriot League. The Horned Frogs cruised to an 82-57 win over Charlotte on Saturday and emerged as the clear tournament favorite after Colorado and Rhode Island were upset in the first round.
