Preview Roundups
February 28, 2017
Maryland at Rutgers 6:30 PM ET
Maryland is picking the worst possible time to go into a slump, although a loss at Rutgers on Tuesday would create a whole new level of panic. The Terrapins aim to avoid a fourth straight defeat as they take on the Scarlet Knights, who have won two of their 16 league games by a total of three points.
Georgetown at Seton Hall 6:30 PM ET
Seton Hall celebrates Senior Night while trying to get off the NCAA Tournament bubble when it hosts Georgetown in a Big East battle on Tuesday. The Pirates are one of the last in the Tournament field according to some prognosications, while the Hoyas are looking to get to .500 and still have a shot at a postseason appearance.
Mississippi St. at South Carolina 7:00 PM ET
South Carolina pulled out of its tailspin with a solid victory last time out and looks to solidify its NCAA Tournament bid when struggling Mississippi State visits for an SEC tussle on Tuesday. The Gamecocks had lost three in a row and four of five before holding Tennessee to 33.3 percent shooting in an 82-55 rout Saturday that kept them in the top four in the conference.
Texas A&M at Missouri 7:00 PM ET
Texas A&M has the unenviable task of ending its regular season against powerhouse Kentucky, but will first wrap up its road schedule against struggling Missouri in an SEC contest on Tuesday. The Aggies are coming off a 56-53 win over Alabama and looks to make it a season sweep over Missouri, which has dropped four straight games.
Indiana at Purdue 7:00 PM ET
Purdue takes a swing at clinching at least a share of the Big Ten title when it attempts to conclude a season sweep of visiting Indiana on Tuesday. The No. 16 Boilermakers hold a one-game lead over second-place Wisconsin with two conference games remaining while the Hoosiers are huge disappointments who reside in a four-way tie for 10th place.
Florida St. at Duke 7:00 PM ET

Just when it looked like 14th-ranked Duke had begun to put it all together, it has dropped two straight contests – and faces two tough matchups to wrap up the regular season. The Blue Devils look to snap their skid when they host No. 17 Florida State on Tuesday in a key ACC clash.

St. John's at Creighton 8:00 PM ET
Considering its 5-1 start in Big East play, even the most pessimistic Creighton fan likely could not have imagined a scenario in which the Bluejays would have to sweat out a .500 finish. Creighton will try to guarantee itself a winning record in conference action Tuesday when it attempts to end a two-game slide against St. John's in its home finale.
Ohio St. at Penn St. 8:30 PM ET
Fresh off its biggest win of the season, Ohio State will look to keep it going when it travels to Penn State on Tuesday in a battle of 6-10 Big Ten teams. The Buckeyes snapped a three-game losing streak and defeated a ranked team for the first time in nearly a year with an 83-73 victory over then-No. 15 Wisconsin on Thursday.
DePaul at Providence 8:30 PM ET
Four straight wins and two winnable games remaining have Providence looking more and more like an NCAA Tournament team heading into Tuesday's Big East game against visiting DePaul. Rodney Bullock came through in the clutch Saturday as the Friars rallied from a 12-point deficit to deal a huge blow to fellow bubble team Marquette.
Vanderbilt at Kentucky 9:00 PM ET
Kentucky coach John Calipari still hasn't gotten to the bottom of players such as Malik Monk and Bam Adebayo and a school of thought is that he should just stay away and let the one-and-done candidates do their thing. The No. 9 Wildcats, who are coming off arguably their biggest victory of the season thanks to Monk and Adebayo, try for their seventh straight win when they host Vanderbilt on Tuesday with at least a share of the SEC regular-season title on the line.
Pittsburgh at Georgia Tech 9:00 PM ET
Pittsburgh travels to Georgia Tech on Tuesday in a matchup of two teams looking to snap late-season slumps and build momentum heading toward the ACC tournament. The Panthers have dropped three of their past four games after Saturday’s 85-67 home loss to North Carolina, while the Yellow Jackets have lost two in a row despite pushing Notre Dame before falling 64-60 on the road Sunday.
Oklahoma St. at Iowa St. 9:00 PM ET
Two of the hottest teams in the Big 12 put their five-game winning streaks on the line when Oklahoma State visits No. 24 Iowa State on Tuesday. The Cyclones' run, which includes Saturday's 72-69 victory over then-No. 9 Baylor, has pushed them into a tie with West Virginia for second in the conference with two games to play.
