Preview Roundups
November 29, 2017
Phoenix at Detroit 7:00 PM ET
The Detroit Pistons are fresh off one of the most impressive victories of the current NBA season and look to ride the momentum when they host the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. Detroit outplayed league-leading Boston en route to a 118-108 road win on Monday and owns the second-best record in the Eastern Conference.
Oklahoma City at Orlando 7:00 PM ET
The Oklahoma City Thunder will try to end their slide while extending the Orlando Magic's misery when the teams meet Wednesday in Florida. Since a 3-0 homestand earlier this month, the Thunder have lost four of five and barely put up a fight in a 97-81 setback at the Western Conference-worst Dallas Mavericks on Saturday.
Washington at Philadelphia 7:00 PM ET
The Washington Wizards are trying to navigate a period without four-time All-Star point guard John Wall by relying more on their bench. Washington hopes that formula can be successful again when it visits the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, one night after its reserves outscored Minnesota's bench 49-11 in a 92-89 triumph.
Miami at New York 7:30 PM ET
The Miami Heat look to make it a winning four-game road trip when they visit the New York Knicks on Wednesday. The Heat captured the first two contests of the trek to run their overall winning streak to three games before suffering a 108-97 loss to Cleveland on Tuesday.
Charlotte at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors should be well-rested and primed to continue their solid play at home when they take on the visiting Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday. The Raptors had three full days off since capping a three-game road trip Saturday with a 34-point rout at Atlanta, which afforded coach Dwane Casey the opportunity to rest his starters down the stretch.
Indiana at Houston 8:00 PM ET
The Indiana Pacers are winners of six of their last seven games, with the only loss in that span coming against the Eastern Conference-best Boston Celtics. The Pacers will get another chance to prove themselves against a conference leader when they face the best in the West by visiting the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.
Minnesota at New Orleans 8:00 PM ET
The rested New Orleans Pelicans should have a distinct advantage in energy and preparedness when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday. While the Timberwolves will be playing their third game in four days - including Tuesday's 92-89 loss to Washington in the finale of a four-game homestand - the Pelicans will be playing their first in that span.
Brooklyn at Dallas 8:30 PM ET
The Brooklyn Nets hope to have a more complete lineup when they take on the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday in the finale of a three-game road trip. The Nets split the first two games of the trip, falling 117-103 at Houston on Monday without three starters - DeMarre Carroll (illness), Rondae-Hollis Jefferson (ankle) and Allen Crabbe (back).
Memphis at San Antonio 8:30 PM ET
The San Antonio Spurs are the picture of organizational stability with head coach Gregg Popovich the longest tenured in the NBA and R.C. Buford serving as general manager since 2002. The Memphis Grizzlies, who visit the Spurs on Wednesday, are in organizational turmoil after letting go of head coach David Fizdale on Monday amid an eight-game losing streak.
Golden State at L.A. Lakers 10:30 PM ET
The Golden State Warriors get plenty of credit for their high-scoring offense, but their defense is just as important to their standing as the defending NBA champions. The Warriors hope to get at least one key piece back in the lineup and tighten some things on the defensive end when they visit the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday.
