Preview Roundups
February 11, 2017
L.A. Clippers at Charlotte 5:00 PM ET
The Los Angeles Clippers found an extra gear in the fourth quarter on Wednesday and surged to a 119-115 win at the New York Knicks to snap a three-game slide. The Clippers will try to put together back-to-back wins for the first time since Chris Paul went down on Jan. 16 when they visit the stumbling Charlotte Hornets on Saturday.
Milwaukee at Indiana 7:00 PM ET
All-Star small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo will have to carry even more of the scoring load with sidekick Jabari Parker done for the season, and he aims to follow up a 41-point performance when the Milwaukee Bucks visit the Indiana Pacers on Saturday. Parker was declared out for the rest of the campaign on Thursday due to a torn ACL in his left knee, and Antetokounmpo stepped up with a career-best scoring effort in Friday's 118-110 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Miami at Philadelphia 7:30 PM ET
The Miami Heat try to match the second-longest winning streak in franchise history when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday. James Johnson's season-high 26 points led the Heat to their 13th consecutive victory Friday, a 108-99 comeback win at Brooklyn.
Denver at Cleveland 7:30 PM ET
The Cleveland Cavaliers look to rebound from a tough loss to end a long road trip when they open a soft portion of the schedule Saturday at home against the Denver Nuggets. The Cavaliers had won four straight - including the first three on their road trip - before a 119-108 loss at Oklahoma City on Thursday, reducing their lead over the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference to 2 1/2 games.
Golden State at Oklahoma City 8:30 PM ET
All-Star forward Kevin Durant returns to Oklahoma City on Saturday, and the unfriendly welcome will consist of a vociferous round of boos and signs in support of former running mate Russell Westbrook. It will mark Durant's first game in the arena he called home of eight seasons when the Golden State Warriors visit the Thunder in search of their third straight victory over Oklahoma City this season.
Phoenix at Houston 9:00 PM ET
All-Star guard James Harden leads the NBA with 44 double-doubles and looks to add to his total when the Houston Rockets host the Phoenix Suns on Saturday. Harden also recorded 25 30-point outings and ranks among the leading MVP candidates because of a stellar campaign in which he is averaging 28.9 points, 11.3 assists and 8.2 rebounds.
Orlando at Dallas 9:00 PM ET
Two teams moving in different directions face off when the Dallas Mavericks host the Orlando Magic on Saturday. The Mavericks started off slow and are surging of late while the Magic are plummeting out of the race in the Eastern Conference.
Boston at Utah 10:00 PM ET
Isaiah Thomas' fourth-quarter prowess is reaching legendary status and is pushing him into the MVP conversation as the season grinds toward the All-Star break. Thomas will try to guide his team to a ninth win in 10 games when he leads the Boston Celtics into a showdown against one of the best defensive teams in the league at the Utah Jazz on Saturday.
