Kevin Fiala had a goal and an assist to help the visiting Minnesota Wild to a 2-0 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday.

Fiala has seven goals and seven assists in a seven-game point streak.

Matt Boldy also scored and Cam Talbot made 26 saves for the Wild (48-21-7, 103 points), who won for the fifth time in their past six games.

Carey Price made 28 saves in his second start of the season for the Canadiens (20-46-11, 51 points), who have lost six straight.

Montreal struggled to contain pressure from Minnesota early on, tagged with seven giveaways in the opening five minutes.

Fiala opened the scoring for the Wild with a power-play tally at 6:57 of the first period. Mats Zuccarello waited along the goal line to the right of the net before finding an open lane and saucering a pass to Fiala for a one-timer from the slot for a 1-0 lead.

It was Fiala's 30th goal of the season, extending a career high.

The Wild outchanced Montreal in the opening frame, attempting 27 shots to the Canadiens' 12, but both teams put eight shots on goal.

Tyler Pitlick picked up a loose puck in the slot off a rebound to tie it 1-1 at 12:13 of the second period. But the Wild challenged for goalie interference and the goal was overturned after video review showed Montreal forward Laurent Dauphin pushed Minnesota forward Frederick Gaudreau into Talbot as the goalie got back to his crease.

Boldy made it 2-0 with a highlight-reel effort at 2:29 of the third period. His own shot bounced off the end boards back to him to the right of the net, where he put it through his legs and into the net.
