Jaromir Jagr scored his first two goals since returning to the NHL and Scott Hartnell also tallied twice as the Philadelphia Flyers overcame the loss of captain Chris Pronger by skating to a 4-2 home triumph over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday.

Pronger was hit near the eye as Toronto's Mikhail Grabovski followed through on his shot during the first period. The 37-year-old defenseman, who does not wear a shield, immediately clutched at his face and skated to the bench before heading to the locker room. He did not return.

Claude Giroux and defenseman Kimmo Timonen notched a pair of assists apiece, Danny Briere collected his 600th career point and Sergei Bobrovsky turned aside 24 shots as Philadelphia salvaged the finale of its three-game homestand.

With Mike Komisarek serving an interference penalty, Hartnell scored Philadelphia's second power-play goal of the night after wristing a shot past Jonas Gustavsson for his first goal of the season.

Hartnell and Dave Steckel tallied three minutes apart, but Jagr scored his second of the night on a breakaway with 4:45 remaining in the third period to seal the win.

Phil Kessel collected his NHL-leading ninth goal of the season for Northeast Division-leading Toronto, which fell to 1-2-0 on its current four-game road trip.
