Pierre-Luc Dubois scored two goals and added an assist as the Columbus Blue Jackets held off the host Detroit Red Wings 7-5 on Monday.
Artemi Panarin had a goal and two assists, while Josh Anderson, Markus Nutivaara, Boone Jenner and Seth Jones also scored for the Blue Jackets. Sergei Bobrovsky made 27 saves.
Anthony Mantha had two goals and an assist for Detroit, which has lost three straight. Gustav Nyquist, Dennis Cholowski and Mike Green had the other Wings goals.
Jonathan Bernier replaced Jimmy Howard after one period and made 12 saves on 15 shots. Howard gave up three first-period goals on 16 shots.
Dubois and Anderson scored their 11th goals as the Blue Jackets went on to establish a 3-0 lead.
Panarin scored a power-play goal with just under four minutes left in the period. He hadn't scored since a two-goal outing against Buffalo on Oct. 27.
Detroit got on the board in the first minute of the second period. Nyquist redirected a Danny DeKeyser shot from the point over Bobrovsky's shoulder for his third goal.
Nutivaara blasted a shot from the point that found the back of the net five minutes into the period.
Jenner scored on a four-on-two rush to make it 5-1. Green scored the Wings' second goal when he stole a Blue Jackets pass and fired it over Bobrovsky's left shoulder.
With Cam Atkinson in the penalty box for interference, Cholowski's straight-on shot from near the blue line beat Bobrovsky through the five-hole with 2:17 left in the middle period.
Mantha cut Columbus' lead to one in the first minute of the third period. Dylan Larkin dropped a pass to him during a two-on-two situation, and Mantha ripped it past Bobrovsky.
Dubois scored a disputed goal on a rebound at the 3:34 mark to give the Blue Jackets a 6-4 lead. The Wings claimed the officials should have stopped play and also challenged it on goalie interference but were denied.
The Red Wings pulled Bernier for an extra skater and made it 6-5 on Mantha's second goal with a wrist shot from the right circle at 17:48.
Jones' empty-netter sealed Columbus' win with 91 seconds remaining.
