Flames 3, Blues 2: Captain Jarome Iginla snapped a tie with 7:02 remaining in the third period as Calgary extended its home winning streak to seven games.
Iginla raced in on a breakaway but had his original chance disrupted by Wade Redden. As the St. Louis defenseman slid by, Iginla spun around and stuffed the puck past Jaroslav Halak from near the left post for just his second goal in nine games.
Roman Cervenka scored twice and Miikka Kiprusoff made 36 saves for the Flames, who returned home following a winless three-game road trip.
T.J. Oshie had a goal and an assist, Vladimir Sobotka also tallied and Halak stopped 14 shots for the Blues, who completed a 1-2-0 road trip and had their three-game winning streak against the Flames snapped.
Cervenka opened the scoring when he cashed in on a power-play opportunity at 11:13 of the first period, beating Halak high to the glove side from the right faceoff circle during a 2-on-1 rush. The 27-year-old Czech completed his first career two-goal performance midway through the second for a 2-0 lead, but Oshie scored his second in as many nights seven minutes later and Sobotka forged a tie 4:48 into the third.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Iginla's goal was the 525th of his career, giving him sole possession of 32nd place on the all-time list. He had been tied for the spot with Bryan Trottier. ... Flames D Cory Sarich played in his 899th NHL game. ... St. Louis outshot Calgary 19-4 in the second period and 26-9 over the first 40 minutes.
