Blue Jackets 5, Flames 1: Nick Foligno scored twice as host Columbus recorded three goals in a span of 1:15 during the second period and went on to extend its franchise-record point streak to 12 games.

Artem Anisimov registered his seventh of the season at 14:20 of the second after Foligno’s two tallies, giving the Blue Jackets their fastest three goals in team history. Jared Boll and Colton Gillies also scored and Sergei Bobrovsky made 24 saves as Columbus improved to 8-0-4 over their last dozen contests and moved into a tie for eighth place in the Western Conference.

Curtis Glencross scored for Calgary, which is winless in its last nine road games (0-8-1). Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 23 shots for the Flames.

Foligno stickhandled into the middle and fired a low shot through a crowd at 13:05 of the second for 2-1 lead. The left wing then beat Kiprusoff high to the glove side following a pass from R.J. Umberger 51 seconds later, giving him the two fastest goals in franchise history.

Anisimov capitalized on a turnover to make it 4-1 only 24 seconds later and Gillies added his first of the season in the third period. The Blue Jackets (13-12-6) moved over .500 for the first time since the second game of the campaign.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Columbus C Brandon Dubinsky was scratched with a lower-body injury, while veteran D Adrian Aucoin was back in the lineup after missing the last two. … Glencross has recorded eight points in the last five games for Calgary. … Gillies also had an assist for the first multi-point performance of his career after going scoreless over the first 17 games of this season.
