OILERS 6, FLAMES 1: Sam Gagner and All-Star Jordan Eberle each recorded a goal and two assists as Edmonton ended a nine-game losing streak against host Calgary.

Ryan Smyth and Taylor Hall notched a goal and an assist apiece, Eric Belanger and Ales Hemsky also scored and Devan Dubnyk made 21 saves for the Oilers, who had lost three straight overall and eight of nine on the road.

After defenseman Scott Hannan gave Calgary a 1-0 lead midway through the first period, Eberle began Edmonton's outburst with 1:12 left in the session.

Miikka Kiprusoff stopped Gagner's deflection of blueliner Corey Potter's shot as well as Eberle's rebound attempt. But the All-Star was able to lift a backhander past the netminder for his 26th goal of the season.

Hemsky put the Oilers ahead to stay just over eight minutes into the second and Belanger buried the rebound of enforcer Ben Eager's shot during a 2-on-1 rush at 12:21. Gagner scored 30 seconds later and set up Smyth's goal late in the period with a nifty backhand pass to complete his three-point performance and Edmonton's run of four tallies in a 10:47 span.

Kiprusoff made 29 saves over two periods and Henrik Karlsson stopped seven shots in his first appearance since Dec. 4 for the Flames, who failed to earn a point for the first time in nine games (5-1-3).

GAME NOTEBOOK: Gagner has registered four multi-point performances over his last nine games, beginning with his epic eight-point effort on Feb. 2 against Chicago. ... Calgary defenseman Chris Butler suffered a cut above his knee during a collision with Kiprusoff in the second period and did not return. ... Eberle's assist on Gagner's goal was his 100th point in 124 career games. ... Smyth, who was celebrating his 36th birthday, is one point away from 800 for his career.
