Maurice Jones-Drew found the end zone four times to set the franchise record for touchdowns as the Jacksonville Jaguars handed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers their seventh straight loss with a 41-14 home triumph on Sunday.
Colin Cloherty returned a fumble 8 yards for a score and Nate Collins recovered a fumble in the end zone for Jacksonville, which halted a three-game slide of its own and improved to 3-4 at home this season.
After Tampa Bay (4-9) took a 14-0 lead, Cloherty recovered a muffed punt by Preston Parker and ran it back to get the Jaguars on the board. Jones-Drew forged a tie with a 1-yard run, tying Fred Taylor's club mark of 70 touchdowns.
Collins fell on a loose ball in the end zone after Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman was sacked by Daryl Smith, giving Jacksonville (4-9) a 21-14 advantage. Jones-Drew then hauled in two 5-yard scoring passes from rookie Blaine Gabbert before capping the scoring with another 1-yard rush, giving him a franchise-high 73 TDs.
Jones-Drew gained 85 yards on 27 carries while catching six passes for 51 yards.
Freeman, who missed last week with a shoulder injury, completed 16 of 30 passes for 181 yards with two interceptions. He also ran for a touchdown for Tampa Bay, which has dropped five straight on the road.
