D.J. Wagner scored 16 points and Trevon Brazile added 15 points, three steals and a key blocked shot as the Razorbacks (8-2) notched their biggest win of the John Calipari era. Adou Thiero scored 13 points and Jonas Aidoo had 11 points and seven rebounds for Arkansas.
Roddy Gayle Jr. of Michigan had a turnaround 15-footer bounce off the front rim at the buzzer as the Wolverines (8-2) had a seven-game winning streak halted.
Vladislav Goldin registered 17 points and nine rebounds for Michigan, which trailed by 18 in the second half before making a late charge. Danny Wolf had 14 points, nine rebounds and nine assists for the Wolverines.
Will Tschetter scored all 13 of his points in the first half for Michigan. Gayle also scored 13 points and Nimari Burnett had 10.
With Arkansas leading by one, Brazile missed two free throws with 32.6 seconds left. But on the other end, Goldin got the ball inside and was about to give Michigan the lead until Brazile leaped, blocked the shot, collected the ball and was fouled.
Brazile split two free throws with 14.3 seconds to play. Arkansas interrupted the flow on the last-second play for Gayle.
Michigan trailed by 18 just past the midway point of the second half before scoring 12 points in a row. Goldin scored back-to-back inside hoops to end it as the Wolverines pulled within 80-74 with 6:11 remaining.
A three-point play by Johnell Davis gave the Razorbacks an 87-80 lead with 3:01 remaining before Michigan scored seven of the next eight points to move within one.
Arkansas shot 50 percent, including 9 of 23 from 3-point range.
The Wolverines made 57.6 percent of their shots and were 8 of 18 from behind the arc.
The Wolverines used a 26-8 run in the first half to turn a three-point deficit into a 31-16 lead. Tschetter made three 3-pointers and scored all 13 points during the burst.
The Razorbacks climbed out their 15-point deficit in impressive fashion and trailed just 49-45 at the break. Fland had 13 points in the half for Arkansas.
Arkansas then erupted to score the first 12 points of the second half. Davis capped the burst with a 3-pointer to give the Razorbacks a 57-49 lead with 15:40 left.
Later in the half, Wagner and Brazile hit treys and Karter Knox added a layup to give Arkansas a 78-60 lead with 10:15 left.
