Matthew Hurt scored 22 points as eighth-ranked Duke got back on track by blistering visiting Miami 89-59 on Tuesday night in Durham, N.C.
Tre Jones dumped in 16 points and Vernon Carey Jr. added 11 points to help the Blue Devils end a two-game skid.
It was a wire-to-wire win for Duke (16-3, 6-2 Atlantic Coast Conference), which throttled Miami for the second time in slightly more than two weeks.
The Blue Devils, who have a week off before their next game, were coming off losses to Clemson and Louisville.
Hurt, a freshman forward, reached the 20-point mark for the third time. He had 15 points by halftime.
Duke began the week second in the NCAA in scoring margin at plus-18.4 and padded that margin.
Kameron McGusty and Rodney Miller Jr. each posted 13 points, and Dejan Vasiljevic added 12 points for the Hurricanes (10-8, 2-6), who have lost three games in a row and five of their last six. Miller had 13 rebounds.
Miami played against a top-15 opponent for the fourth time in a six-game stretch, though the Hurricanes never threatened in this one as they did in Saturday's overtime loss to visiting Florida State. That was the only Miami loss with a single-digit margin this season.
Against Duke, Miami scoring leader Chris Lykes missed all seven of his first-half shots and finished with nine points on 3-for-13 shooting.
Duke held a 24-6 lead just more than nine minutes into the game. The Blue Devils led by as many as 29 points in the opening half before going to the break with a 48-24 lead.
The Blue Devils were 9-for-17 on first-half 3-point attempts, while Miami was 1-for-10 from beyond the arc.
The Hurricanes never scored more than four consecutive points in the first half.
Duke had a total of 14 baskets from 3-point range in its two losses last week.
Duke won the earlier meeting with Miami by 95-62.
