No. 16 Missouri 79, Georgia 62:
Earnest Ross and Jabari Brown each scored 15 points to pace a balanced scoring attack, and a quick start boosted the host Tigers past the Bulldogs in SEC action.

Missouri (13-3, 2-1) looked much more in-sync offensively in its second game without leading scorer Laurence Bowers, who is out with a sprained MCL. After scoring just 49 points Saturday at Mississippi, the 16th-ranked Tigers built an early 20-9 lead and put the game away with a 9-2 second-half spurt.

Vincent Williams brought the Bulldogs (6-10, 0-3) within 56-44 on a 3-pointer with 10:04 left and Brandon Morris’ 3-pointer moments later pulled the visitors within 58-47. The Tigers scored nine of the next 11 points to push their lead to 67-49 with 5:05 to go.

Ross and Brown each hit three 3-pointers for the Tigers. Keion Bell scored 14 points, Alex Oriakhi scored 13 points and Phil Pressey finished with six assists and four steals.

Williams finished with a career-high 23 points for Georgia, which dropped its third in a row. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 15 points.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Georgia finished with 19 turnovers, eight coming in the first 12 minutes of the first half. … Missouri finished 18-for-25 from the free-throw line, while Georgia shot 10-of-12 from the stripe. … The Tigers expect Bowers to be ready for Saturday’s trip to No. 9 Florida.
