Arkansas 79, Northwestern State 61: Sophomore BJ Young notched the first double-double of his career with 26 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Razorbacks to a convincing home win over the Demons.

Mardracus Wade tallied a season-high 17 points and center Hunter Mickelson grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds to go with a season-best four blocked shots for Arkansas (8-4), which has won four straight.

James Hulbin had 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Demons (5-4) while Jalan West and DeQuan Hicks added 10 points each.

The Razorbacks led from start to finish and held off a couple second-half runs by Northwestern State, which was playing its first game in two weeks.

Arkansas, which led 36-29 at halftime, extended the margin to 12 early in the second half. The Demons cut it to five before an 8-2 run by the Razorbacks provided some breathing room as Northwestern State could get only as close as six the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Arkansas limited Northwestern State to season lows in field goal percentage (27.4), 3-point field goal percentage (7.1), and 3-point field goals made as the Demons shot 1-of-14 beyond the arc. ...The Razorbacks, who came into the game third in the nation in turnover margin (plus-7), lost the battle in this game as they committed 14 and forced 13. ... Arkansas was whistled for 26 fouls to only 13 for Northwestern State, which shot 42 free throws – more than triple the number of the Razorbacks (13).
