Mississippi 91, Lipscomb 45: Murphy Holloway scored 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting and added eight rebounds as the Rebels trounced the visiting Bisons.

Nick Williams added 14 points and Reginald Buckner chipped in 10 points, seven rebounds and five blocks for Mississippi (5-0), which held Lipscomb to 24.5 percent shooting and forced 26 turnovers.

Freshman Stephen Hurt scored 14 points and fellow freshman John Ross Glover added 12 as the only two players to reach double figures for Lipscomb, which went 2-of-17 from beyond the arc.

The Rebels put the game away early, opening with a 17-2 run over the first 4:10. Holloway, Marshall Henderson and Williams all hit 3-pointers during the burst and lead stretched out to 44-22 by the break.

Holloway and Williams combined for all of the points during a 9-0 run to open the second half. The Bisons made only one field goal in the first 8:58 of the second period as the deficit grew to 62-29.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Malcolm Smith and Deonte Alexander - Lipscomb’s two leading scorers - combined to go 0-of-9 from the field. … Henderson, whose 3-pointer opened the game for Mississippi, finish just 2-of-12 from beyond the arc and 3-of-14 from the field. … The Rebels get a long break until hosting Rutgers on Dec. 1.
