Creighton shot 55 percent from the field and dominated from start to finish as it remained unbeaten with a convincing 82-59 victory over previously undefeated Iowa in the Dale Howard Classic in Des Moines, Iowa.

Doug McDermott, son of Creighton head coach Greg McDermott, had 25 points and nine rebounds to lead the Bluejays (4-0), who used a 10-0 run midway through the first half to grow a 12-10 lead to 22-10.

The Bluejays shot 59 percent in the first half, and made 7 of 12 from 3-point range to bury the Hawkeyes (3-1). Gregory Echenique added 15 points and nine rebounds.

The Bluejays outrebounded the Hawkeyes 42-26 in the first meeting between the schools since the 2001 NCAA Tournament, when the Hawkeyes claimed a first round win.

Josh Oglesby came off the bench to lead Iowa with 14 points and Matt Gatens added 13.
