Rion Brown came off the bench for 16 points to lead six players in double figures as Miami easily disposed of McNeese State 79-59 on Friday night.
Brown drained four of six 3-pointers and Durand Scott and Reggie Johnson added 12 points apiece as the Hurricanes (3-2) took a 42-30 halftime lead.
Miami shot 51.8 percent, knocked down 10-of-22 from the 3-point line and held a 36-27 advantage on the boards.
Diego Kapelan connected on 9-of-16 from the floor, including six shots from the arc, for 24 points for McNeese State (2-3), which shot just 34.4 percent. Kapelan’s teammates shot a combined 27 percent.
