Anthony Davis, Nikola Mirotic and Jrue Holiday posted double-doubles as the New Orleans Pelicans beat the Detroit Pistons 118-103 on Monday night in Detroit.

Davis had 38 points and 10 rebounds, and Mirotic came off the bench to add 21 points and 12 rebounds. Holiday finished with 21 points and 12 assists.

New Orleans' Darius Miller scored 12, and Emeka Okafor contributed eight points and seven rebounds in 14 minutes while making his first NBA start since April 15, 2013, when he scored four points for the Washington Wizards.

Blake Griffin led Detroit with 22 points. Reggie Bullock scored 14, Andre Drummond had 13 points and 21 rebounds, former Pelican Jameer Nelson came off the bench to score 12, Ish Smith had 11 and Stanley Johnson 10.

The Pelicans finished an Eastern Conference road trip with a 2-1 record after winning their second straight. The Pistons lost their third in a row after winning their previous five.

Okafor scored the first two baskets of the third quarter as the Pelicans increased their eight-point halftime lead to 64-52.

Johnson made two 3-pointers and Bullock made one as Detroit closed within 69-65 midway through the period.

Miller and Mirotic each sank a 3-pointer as New Orleans opened an 85-70 lead.

Mirotic scored seven more points as the Pelicans maintained the margin and had a 95-80 lead after three quarters.

Anthony Tolliver opened the fourth-quarter scoring with a 3-pointer that began a run to get the Pistons within 98-89.

Davis scored five straight points and later added a 3-pointer to push the margin back to 15.

New Orleans led by as many as 18 down the stretch, though the fourth-quarter scoring was 23-23 in the only period in which the Pelicans didn't outscore the Pistons.

Davis had nine points and four rebounds as the Pelicans took a 32-31 lead after one quarter. He had 10 more points as New Orleans built a 58-44 second-quarter lead.

Griffin and Johnson scored four points each as Detroit closed within 60-52 heading to halftime.
