Mavericks 103, Jazz 81: Monta Ellis scored 22 points and Dirk Nowitzki added 20 as host Dallas cruised past Utah.

Jose Calderon added 12 points and seven assists and Samuel Dalembert also scored 12 points as the Mavericks recorded their fourth consecutive victory. Dallas committed just nine turnovers, hit 10-of-18 3-point attempts and held a 48-37 rebounding edge while beating the Jazz for the 21st time in the last 24 meetings.

Marvin Williams scored 21 points for Utah, which lost its fourth straight game. Trey Burke added 13 points for the Jazz, who made 12 3-pointers while attempting a franchise-record 35.

The Mavericks have blown five leads of 15 or more points this season – most in the NBA – but pulled away in the fourth quarter after entering the period with an 82-67 advantage. Calderon’s fourth 3-pointer of the game capped a 7-0 run to make it 91-69 and Dallas held the Jazz to 14 final-quarter points.

Dallas led 54-43 at halftime as Williams kept Utah in the game by scoring all of his points in the first half. The Jazz were within 71-64 late in the third before the Mavericks closed with an 11-3 surge to take the 15-point lead into the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Nowitzki has scored 20 or more points 30 times this season. … Jazz C Derrick Favors (hip) returned from a three-game absence and had six points and six rebounds. … The Mavericks have topped 100 points in seven straight games and 14 of their last 15.
