: Brandon Knight led six players in double figures with 18 points as host Detroit survived an impressive shooting display by J.J. Redick to knock off the sliding Magic.

Greg Monroe scored 16 points, Will Bynum 15 and Rodney Stuckey 14 for the Pistons, who had a 54-41 advantage on the glass. Jason Maxiell and Andre Drummond both finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Redick scored 17 of his 26 points in the first half, when he made all six of his shots, including four 3-pointers. The sharpshooter made his first seven shots overall and finished 9-for-10 from the floor. His fellow starters combined to go 15-for-48 (31.3 percent) as Orlando fell for the 12th time in 14 games.

Redick's seventh straight make cut Detroit's lead to two points early in the third quarter before Knight hit a 3-pointer to start a 24-10 quarter-ending run. Monroe scored eight points in less than two minutes during one stretch and Drummond later had three baskets in just 46 seconds to end the quarter and make it 82-66.

Redick finally missed on his eighth shot early in the fourth and Stuckey responded with a basket to push Detroit's advantage over 20 points for the first time.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Detroit had 23 assists against eight turnovers. ... Coupled with Boston's loss in Cleveland, Detroit, which started 0-8, hits the halfway mark of the season four games out of a playoff spot. ... These two teams play for the fourth and final time this season Sunday in Orlando.
