Mavericks 111, Magic 105: Shawn Marion racked up 20 points and 10 rebounds and Vince Carter and O.J. Mayo each scored 15 as visiting Dallas overcame a dreadful start to win its eighth consecutive road matchup with Orlando.
Elton Brand added 14 points, Chris Kaman had 13 points and eight rebounds and Dirk Nowitzki chipped in 12 points and seven boards for the Mavericks, who had seven players score in double figures. Dallas has won five of six.
Glen Davis had 24 points, six rebounds and six assists to lead the Magic, who rallied to within 104-102 in the final minute before Darren Collison's 3-pointer gave Dallas some cushion and the Mavericks sealed it at the line. Orlando, which has lost 13 of its last 15, got 20 points from Jameer Nelson and 18 off the bench from J.J. Redick.
The Mavericks missed six of their first seven shots and fell behind 18-4 in the first six minutes, but they answered with a 15-0 run and led 26-24 after one quarter and 57-48 at halftime.
Nelson scored five points during an 11-0 run that pulled Orlando even at 63 midway through the third quarter, but Dallas was able to push the margin back out to 85-75 by the end of the quarter.
