Bobcats 108, Wizards 106 (OT): Reggie Williams drained the go-ahead 3-pointer with just over a minute remaining in the second overtime for his only points of the game as visiting Charlotte matched last year's win total while keeping Washington winless on the campaign.

Byron Mullens collected a season-high 27 points and Ramon Sessions scored nine of his 21 in the first quarter for the Bobcats (7-5), who defeated the Wizards twice while winning six of their last eight games. The early-season success is a far cry from the 7-59 mark Charlotte established during the 2011-12 season.

Martell Webster had 21 points to pace Washington, which had a chance to win after Chris Singleton was fouled by rookie Jeffery Taylor on a 3-point attempt as time expired in the first overtime. Singleton made 2 of 3 free throws to force the extra session.

After Williams drilled a 3-pointer with 1:17 remaining in the second overtime, Charlotte's tenacious defense forced a shot-clock violation.

Kemba Walker secured an offensive rebound and made two subsequent free throws. The shots proved to be huge as rookie Bradley Beal sank a 3-pointer with three seconds left to bring the Wizards within one.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Mullens' previous season high was 24 points versus Phoenix on Nov. 7. ... Beal, who was the third overall pick, finished with 13 points while second selection Michael Kidd-Gilchrist of Charlotte had 10 to end up in double digits for the ninth time in 10 games. ... The Bobcats were introduced while the "Meow Mix" cat food theme was played in the background.
