Rookie sensation Blake Griffin scored 29 points but saw his streak of double-doubles end at 27 games as the Los Angeles Clippers earned a 126-111 home victory over Kevin Love and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.

Coming off a career-high 47 points, Griffin had eight rebounds and sat the last four minutes as his double-double streak stopped. The last time Griffin went without a double-double was Nov. 18 at Indiana when he had 12 points and eight rebounds.

Love boosted his NBA-best streak of double-doubles to 29 with 26 points and 11 rebounds, all in the second half.

The expected matchup between power forwards Griffin and Love never developed as Love got two fouls in the first eight minutes and sat for 11 minutes. Griffin had 21 points and seven rebounds in the first half, when Los Angeles opened a 60-48 lead.

Eric Gordon scored 23 points, Baron Davis added 20 and DeAndre Jordan 11 and 12 rebounds for the Clippers (16-25), who have won six of seven and produced a season high for points.

Michael Beasley scored 21 points and Luke Ridnour added 16 for Minnesota (10-33), which was just 1-of-16 on 3-pointers and fell to 2-21 on the road.
