Philadelphia led 44-40 at the half and really opened it up in the third, beginning the quarter with a 26-9 burst to push the lead to 21 points. The Grizzlies recovered a bit at the end of the frame, closing on an 8-3 spurt.

Memphis wasn’t done, forcing two straight turnovers and blocking a shot to spark an 11-0 run and take the lead at 85-84 when Randolph converted a three-point play with 1:45 left. Louis Williams split a pair of free throws to end the Sixers’ drought, but Gay came back with a jumper to push it back to 87-85 and Philadelphia committed a shot clock violation on its next possession.

Randolph went 6 of 6 from the free throw line in the final eight seconds to seal it.

Jrue Holiday and Jodie Meeks scored 16 points apiece for the Sixers.
