With his family in the stands, Rosario capped his second career three-homer game by driving a 2-1 fastball from Allen (2-2) 400 feet over the center-field fence and into the lower rows of seats above the high scoreboard.

Rosario's 13th homer occurred after Brian Dozier opened the inning with a walk on the ninth pitch and gave Minnesota a third straight win over the Indians. It was the third walk-off win for the Twins, who have sustained eight such losses already.

Rosario previously hit three homers and drove in five runs in a 20-7 win over the Seattle Mariners on June 13 of last season at Target Field.

Before his dramatic homer, Rosario hit a solo homer in the first off Mike Clevinger and another solo shot in the seventh off left-hander Tyler Olson, both on pitches out of the strike zone. The second homer gave Minnesota a 5-4 lead, but Michael Brantley forged a 5-5 deadlock by homering off Addison Reed in the eighth.

Besides drawing the walk in the ninth, Dozier opened the seventh with a tying homer off Clevinger and added an RBI single. Eduardo Escobar added a run-scoring double for the Twins.

Edwin Encarnacion recorded his 30th career multi-homer game by hitting his 14th and 15th career homers at Target Field. He broke up Kyle Gibson's perfect game bid by opening the fifth with a homer and then hit a three-run drive off Ryan Pressly in the sixth.

Gibson retired the first 12 hitters before Encarnacion homered and lasted 5 2/3 innings. He allowed two runs on two hits.

Clevinger allowed four runs and seven hits in six-plus innings.

Francisco Rodney (2-2) stranded Jason Kipnis at second in the ninth for the win.

The Twins took a 1-0 lead eight pitches into the game when Rosario drove a full-count fastball into the left-field seats. Three batters later, Minnesota went up 2-0 on Escobar's double to center field.

Minnesota upped its lead to 3-0 when Dozier singled up the middle to score Robbie Grossman with one out in the second.

Encarnacion busted up Gibson's perfect game bid four pitches into the fifth when he sent Gibson's 1-2 changeup 434 feet into the seats in left field for his 22nd career homer against Minnesota.

Gibson ended the fifth by striking out Bradley Zimmer and was lifted after getting Brantley to ground out with Francisco Lindor advancing to second. After Pressly walked Jose Ramirez on four pitches, Encarnacion sent a first-pitch fastball into the third deck in left to give Cleveland a 4-3 lead.
