Christian Yelich hit a two-run double during a five-run seventh inning Friday to help the Milwaukee Brewers top the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates 7-4.
Jackie Bradley Jr. added two RBIs on a single and a bases-loaded walk for the Brewers, who are 7-1 in their past eight games.
Milwaukee starter Brandon Woodruff (5-2) gave up two runs and four hits in seven innings, with no walks and five strikeouts. He also picked up an RBI.
Josh Hader pitched the ninth for his 15th save.
Ben Gamel, Gregory Polanco and Ke'Bryan Hayes homered for the Pirates, who have lost five straight.
Pittsburgh starter Chase De Jong pitched five innings, allowing two runs and four hits, with four walks and two strikeouts.
Clay Holmes (2-1) was charged with all five runs in the seventh, on two hits and four walks. He recorded just one out.
Gamel's first homer of the year, a shot to right field in the second inning, made it 1-0.
In the bottom of the inning, Omar Narvaez led off with a double to shallow left. After Willy Adames grounded out and Jace Peterson walked, Bradley singled to right to drive in Narvaez and tie the game, with Peterson going to third.
Woodruff then pulled off a safety squeeze, a sacrifice bunt toward first, allowing Peterson to score for a 2-1 Brewers lead.
With two outs in the sixth, Polanco blasted his sixth homer into the second deck in right to tie it 2-2.
Pirates reliever Sam Howard pitched a scoreless sixth and struck out Bradley to start the seventh. Holmes entered and walked Daniel Robertson, who went to second on Luis Urias' infield single. Daniel Vogelbach walked to load the bases. Yelich's grounder snuck through the middle of the infield for a two-run double and a 4-2 Brewers lead.
Avisail Garcia struck out, and Narvaez was intentionally walked to load the bases. But Holmes walked Adames to force in a run to make it 5-2.
Trevor Cahill replaced Holmes and walked Peterson and Bradley Jr. to make it three straight bases-loaded walks for a 7-2 game.
Hayes' third homer of the season, a two-run shot to left in the eighth, made it 7-4.
