Alex Dickerson hit a grand slam and drove in a career-high six runs in his debut with the San Francisco Giants, who beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 11-5 Friday night in Phoenix.

Dickerson, who was called up earlier in the day from Triple-A Sacramento after the Giants placed outfielder Steven Duggar on the injured list due to a lower back strain, drove a pitch from Taylor Clarke (1-3) over the center field wall for a 6-0 lead in the third inning.

It was Dickerson's first major league home run since Sept. 22, 2016. He missed the past two seasons because of injuries before getting 19 at-bats this year with the San Diego Padres, who traded him to the Giants on June 10.

Dickerson hit a two-run triple as part of a four-run seventh inning and finished 3-for-5, including a second-inning single.

Kevin Pillar drove in four runs for the Giants, with a two-run home run in the first inning and a bases-loaded single in the seventh. He went 2-for-4 with three runs.

Arizona's hot-hitting Ketel Marte left in the third inning after sustaining a left groin cramp while running out an RBI single up the middle. Marte, who is hitting .543 (25-for-46) in the past 11 games, is considered day-to-day, the team announced.

The Diamondbacks scored four runs in the fourth to close within 6-5. Nick Ahmed hit a two-run home run, and Ildemaro Vargas -- who replaced Marte -- and Adam Jones later delivered RBI singles.

San Francisco pushed its lead to 10-5 in the seventh. Pillar's two-run single came with two outs before Dickerson went the opposite way to bring home two more with a triple off the wall in left.

Giants starter Jeff Samardzija (4-6) allowed five runs and nine hits while striking out five and walking one in six innings.

Clarke gave up seven hits and six runs in three-plus innings. He served up Dickerson's grand slam after hitting Pablo Sandoval with a pitch and walking two batters.

Dickerson became the third player in Giants history to hit a grand slam in his debut. The others were Bobby Bonds (June 25, 1968) and Brandon Crawford (May 27, 2011).

Arizona is 0-4 on its nine-game homestand and has tied its season high with five consecutive losses. San Francisco ended a three-game skid.
