ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Evan Longoria's RBI single off Liam Hendriks in the bottom of the 10th inning lifted the Tampa Bay Rays to a 6-5 win over the Oakland Athletics in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday at Tropicana Field.

Longoria worked a full count and roped Hendriks' offering down the left-field line to score Peter Bourjos and extend the Rays' win streak to four games.

Hendriks (2-1) faced two batters and did not get an out in the loss.

Austin Pruitt (5-1) pitched a scoreless 10th inning to get the win.

Oakland tied the score in the ninth inning when Ryon Healy ripped a double to the left-field corner off Rays closer Alex Colome that scored pinch-runner Rajai Davis to make it 5-5.

The Athletics had runners on first and third with two outs, but Stephen Vogt grounded out to short.

Tampa Bay took a 5-3 in the bottom of the sixth behind the bat and baserunning abilities of Tim Beckham.

With the Rays trailing 3-2, Beckham ripped a double to gap in right center off Athletics starter Sonny Gray that scored Longoria and Steven Souza Jr. to give the Rays a 4-3 lead. The next batter, Michael Martinez, reached base on an infield single to second.

Beckham turned the corner around third toward home, but Athletics first baseman Yonder Alonso relayed the throw to catcher Josh Phegley in plenty of time. However, Beckham slid early and Phegley dropped the ball on the transfer, giving Beckham time to touch the base with his hand and extend the Rays' lead to 5-3.

Oakland got a run back in the seventh on an RBI single by Healy to make the score 5-4. The Athletics loaded the bases in the seventh with two outs, but Rays reliever Tommy Hunter retired Vogt on an infield pop fly.

The Athletics took a 3-0 lead in the third inning against Rays starter Erasmo Ramirez with run-scoring hits from Jeb Lowrie, Khris Davis and Alonso. Ramirez was able to escape further damage by getting Healy to hit into a 6-4-3 double play.

Tampa Bay answered with two runs in the bottom of the fourth on a single by Souza Jr. that scored Mallex Smith and Longoria to make it 3-2.

Gray struck out 10 but gave up five runs (two earned) and nine hits in six innings for the Athletics. Ramirez gave up three runs and 10 hits in 5 1/3 innings for the Rays. Colome suffered his third blown save.

NOTES: The Rays activated RHP Matt Andriese (groin) from the 10-day DL before the second game of the doubleheader. Andriese (5-1, 3.45 ERA) will make the start. ... Athletics RHP Andrew Triggs was placed on the 10-day DL with a left hip strain. Triggs gave up eight runs in 3 2/3 inning Friday against the Rays. ... The Rays added RHP Chih-Wei Hu from Triple-A Durham per MLB's 26th-man rule. ... The Athletics called up OF Matt Olson from Triple-A Nashville and reinstated LHP Sean Doolittle (left shoulder) from the 10-day DL to be the 26th man.
