With two strikes, Prado fouled off three pitches before hitting a fastball from Javy Guerra (0-2) to the base of the wall in right-center, just out of the reach of center fielder Matt Kemp. Pastornicky, who led off the ninth with his third hit of the game, scored easily.

Craig Kimbrel pitched the ninth for his sixth save as the Dodgers lost at home for the first time in eight games. Atlanta ended a brief two-game losing streak, winning for the 11th time in 14 games.

Los Angeles first baseman Juan Rivera gave the Dodgers a 2-0 lead in the first with a long homer to left off Atlanta starter Mike Minor.

The Braves tied the game in the fifth. Third baseman Chipper Jones, who turned 40 on Tuesday, launched a long solo homer into the right-field bullpen. Later in the inning, Atlanta loaded the bases and Prado drove home Jason Heyward on a groundout to second.

The Braves jumped ahead in the sixth, Brian McCann racing home on Los Angeles starter Aaron Harang’s wild pitch to give Atlanta a 3-2 lead. Kemp tied the game in the bottom of the sixth on a fielder’s choice, scoring Dee Gordon to tie the game.

Minor followed up two outstanding starts with another solid effort, giving up eight hits and three runs in six innings. Minor struck out two and walked nobody. Eric O'Flaherty (1-0) pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings of relief to get the win.

Harang allowed six hits in six innings, giving up three runs while walking four and striking out two.
