Mitch Talbot allowed four runs in five innings and Andy Marte drove in three runs, leading the Cleveland Indians to a 7-4 win over the Detroit Tigers on Sunday at Progressive Field.

Mark Grudzielanek, who broke a fifth-inning tie with an RBI single, had three hits and two runs batted in.

Chris Perez pitched the ninth for his fifth save in seven opportunities.

The Indians beat the Tigers for the first time since Aug. 2 of last season, breaking a 10-game losing streak to Detroit and a five-game losing streak overall.

Talbot (4-2) gave up nine hits, but stayed away from the big inning. That's something Max Scherzer (1-3) wasn't able to do. Trailing 1-0, the Indians scored four times in the fourth on Marte's two-run triple and RBI singles by Lou Marson and Shin-Soo Choo.

Talbot took a 4-2 lead into the fifth, but Magglio Ordonez's RBI single and Brennan Boesch's sacrifice fly tied the game.

Grudzielanek put the Indians ahead for good in the fifth. He added another RBI single in the seventh when Marte hit a sacrifice fly.

Marson's RBI was his first of the season and came in his 61st at-bat.
