Ricky Romero (3-1) staggered through six innings, but got the win. The left-hander allowed five runs and nine hits while striking out nine and throwing three wild pitches.

Toronto tied it up in the fifth and took the lead in the sixth when Gonzalez's double off Jensen Lewis (2-1) scored Vernon Wells, who had walked and moved to second when Lyle Overbay walked.

Kevin Gregg pitched the ninth and is 7-for-7 in save opportunities.

Jose Bautista's two-run homer highlighted Toronto's three-run fourth inning to even it at 4-4. The Blue Jays, who hit three home runs Monday night, have hit 14 in their last six games and lead the majors with 42.

Cleveland starter Jake Westbrook allowed four runs on five hits and walked five in 3 2/3 innings.

Shin-Soo Choo's two-run single and Jhonny Peralta's two-run double in the third gave Cleveland the 4-1 lead.
