Brett Cecil took a perfect game into the seventh inning and the Toronto Blue Jays backed him up with three home runs to take down the Cleveland Indians, 5-1, on Monday.

Jose Bautista and John Buck each hit their fifth homers of the season and Travis Snider added his fourth for the Blue Jays, who moved above .500 to 14-13.

Cecil (2-1) retired the first 19 batters he faced before walking Grady Sizemore with one out in the seventh. Pitching out of the stretch for the first time on the night, Cecil then walked Shin-Soo Choo before striking out Austin Kearns.

Jhonny Peralta followed and took away the no-hitter, dropping a single into shallow left to score Sizemore and make it 4-1.

Cecil was lifted after eight innings and 111 pitches. The 24-year-old left-hander issued just the one hit with two walks while striking out 10.

Kevin Gregg came on in the ninth and allowed a hit and a walk but escaped any further damage to lock up the save.

Mitch Talbot (3-2) suffered the loss for the Indians, allowing five runs on eight hits in eight-plus innings.
